SG Secure
SG Secure - Singapore
The Collective Force was contacted by a Singapore producer colleague to pitch for their upcoming SG Secure campaign, an Awareness Campaign promoted by the Government Agency responsible for Anti-terrorism on home territory.
Creatively the brief required leaning into documentary street photography and to create a set of campaign images for SG Secure that were very different from all previous campaigns produced for this client. The proposition was incredibly exciting and we worked closely with Josh Griggs on a folio submission. We were able to create a folio largely based around a recent personal project Josh had shot in Nepal earlier that year - all unscripted street photography, entirely shot on film. This folio and his thoughts on how we could mirror aspects of this approach for the campaign ended up resonating with the creatives. After a lengthy procurement process competing with other local and offshore photographers we were awarded the project.
From the start we had a truly world-class crew on the ground whom we had partnered with prior for a Mastercard shoot in Singapore. This team managed pre-production in the months leading up, allowing us to hit the ground running upon arrival. Due to this extensive up front work, by the time we got to the shoot itself we were in a great position - the shoot itself genuinely couldn’t have gone smoother.
Josh Griggs commented, "I particularly loved working with a foreign photo crew to see how the industry in a different region operates. I really rated the workflow and setup efficiencies and have since begun incorporating them into how I work back home."
Jason Jones also commented, "Having long-term relationships in the region and being invited to pitch on a project where you can respond with the perfect artist solution along with a body of work that stemmed from a personal creative project and an enviable commercial folio that secured this campaign has been another recent career highlight. Travelling to Singapore with Josh to execute the campaign with the local agency and crew was so rewarding both personally and professionally.
